Ingredients

  • 12 Wrappers Wonton
  • 1LBS Ground Beef
  • 1 Cup White Onion
  • 1⁄2 Cup Diced Tomato
  • 1⁄2 Cup Green Chilis
  • 1 Packet of Taco Seasoning
  • 1 Pinch of Cilantro
  • 1 Dollop Sour Cream
  • 1 Pinch of Shredded Cheese

Step 1 Preheat and Prepare Wonton Cups

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a muffin tin. Press a wonton wrapper into each cup, forming a well for the filling. Bake for 7 minutes until crispy.

Step 2: Cook Taco Filling

Heat a large pan and add a little cooking oil. Add 1 cup diced onions and cook for 3 minutes until translucent and slightly browned. Add 1/2 cup diced red tomatoes and 1/2 cup green chilis. Move veggies to the side and add 1 pound of 95-5 ground beef (or ground turkey/chicken). Sear meat, then break into crumbles. Add taco seasoning, stir well, and cook for 2-3 minutes. Taste and adjust salt as needed.

Step 3: Assemble and Bake

Fill each wonton cup with taco mixture and top with shredded cheese. Bake for 5-7 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.

Step 4 Add Finishing Touches

Allow Taco Wonton Cups to cool for a few minutes. Top with fresh cilantro and a dollop of sour cream.
